The Regional Association For Adult Education Suceava (AREAS) implements the project “Uniting youth from Suceava and Chernivtsi through film making art” within the framework of Romania – Ukraine 2004-2006 Neighborhood Program Phare CBC 2005 grant contract no. RO 2005/017-539.01.02.28.
The project called “Uniting youth from Suceava and Chernivtsi through film making art” wants to create wants to create a real collaboration opportunity between 14 young Romanians and 14 young Ukrainians for movie making, guided by the “Chernivtsi 600” theme.
The general objective is to create a cross-border cooperation frame between the young people talented in visual arts from Suceava and Chernivtsi for facilitating the access to awareness concerning cultural and specific values of our border neighbors using movie making technique.
The specific objective is to put good use of creative potential of approximately 28 young people talented in visual arts from Suceava and Chernivtsi by organizing two trainings about movie making techniques and facilitating the access to specific events for 11 months.
The expected results are: 28 young people talented in visual arts who will be trained in video techniques, movie productions “Chernivtsi 600” created within the training periods, two Short Movie Clubs(one in Chernivtsi and one in Suceava), one visual arts center in Suceava, one on-line center of short trans-border movie promotion, one youngster trans-border network – movie creator, one movie techniques bilingual manual.
Alongside AREAS, the partners within the framework of this project are: “Ion Irimescu” Popular Art School Suceava, Bucovina Art Center for Preservation and Promotion of Romanian Traditional Culture from Chernivtsi and The Center for Social Partnership Chernivtsi.
